The Company had a successful exhibit at The SHOT Show, is making great progress in Brazil and working on an important product endorsement. The Company hopes to have its first departments using The Alternative in the field in the coming months.
AB Corp – Q1 Shareholder Update
LAS VEGAS, March 30, 2023 –In the month of January, the Company’s main focus was exhibiting at The SHOT Show, which was held in Las Vegas, January 17 – 20. This is a major conference for tactical products that are sold in both the commercial and professional markets. Although its team members attended the conference in January 2022, this was the first time the Company exhibited at the show to officially introduce The Alternative as a new product for law enforcement.
The day before the conference started, on January 16th, the Company rented out a local range and provided transportation for several groups to demonstrate The Alternative in person. Through the help of representatives of the United States Commercial Service to coordinate introductions, the demonstrations were conducted for approximately 45 people from Brazil, UK, Denmark, and Malaysia, including the training of several new instructors from Brazil. Due to popular demand, an additional demonstration was scheduled later in the week and attended by Brazil Federal Congressman Paulo Bilinskyj.
The biggest takeaways from the show were the connections made with the Brazil delegation and a relationship forged with Sheriff A.J. Louderback (Retired) from Jackson County, Texas. Our team was introduced to Sheriff Louderback in 2021 through the Executive Director of the National Sheriffs Association (NSA) for the purpose of vetting and validating The Alternative as a viable less lethal technology for law enforcement for the purposes of gaining an NSA product endorsement. Since the initial introduction, Sheriff Louderback has followed the progress of ballistics tests and results, which were provided in October 2022. Since then, the Company has met with Sheriff Louderback several times, including at the NSA Winter Conference, and earlier this month, he penned a commendation letter to the NSA confirming his support and validation. This is an exciting development for the Company and a testament to the thorough and compliant manner in which our team has pursued all initiatives in bringing The Alternative to market.
In Q1 the Company added two new instructors and has completed all training materials for its Train the Trainer program. The Company will now work on introducing the training plan to state agencies that oversee and regulate training for law enforcement officers in the state so that the Company’s course may become certified. The Company has also received confirmation from its PCT Application filing that the international art search was concluded and that there were no conflicts. All of the submitted claims meet the novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability requirements, clearing the path for additional international patent filings once the window opens in June 2024.
